Hannah holds a Master’s in Project Planning and Management from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Her academic foundation, combined with her extensive professional experience, underscores her dedication to driving impactful change in education and leadership development. Hannah has over 14 years of experience leading transformative initiatives in youth empowerment, gender equality, and education. She specializes in designing and executing large-scale programs that focus on education, technical skills development, and dignified employment opportunities, particularly for vulnerable and marginalized youth, with a strong emphasis on empowering young women.
Driven by her passion for equitable access to opportunities, she is committed to shaping the future of Africa’s youth through transformative change. At EGF, she manages the secondary school scholarship component of Equity Group’s flagship corporate social responsibility program, the Wings to Fly program. She also spearheads the Elimu Scholarship Program, launched in 2019 in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the World Bank. To deepen support for post-secondary scholars, Ms. Kimani oversees the post-secondary scholars at various technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institutions in partnership with the Ministry of Education, KfW Development Bank, and the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program.
