Dr. Carey Francis Ayuka
Dr. Carey Francis Ayuka (PhD) has a Bachelor of Arts (honours) from the University of Nairobi, a Master of Research from University of St. Andrews in Scotland and a PhD in Health Geography from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand. He is a social scientist with over twenty years’ experience in public health research, Monitoring and Evaluation. Dr. Ayuka has extensive experience in Monitoring and Evaluation, directing fieldwork activities and research projects throughout Kenya. He has trained, supervised and managed large teams of staff and personnel. Dr. Ayuka’s skills are focused on monitoring and evaluating large programmes, project management, report writing, budget management, data analysis, report writing, supervision, training, and technical oversight of large, regional projects. Dr. Ayuka’s research interests focus on the environmental determinants of health, with a particular emphasis on examining the impact of place on health behaviors and outcomes. He has authored several publications and research papers on the subject.
