Julius Kamau E.B.S

Julius holds a Master of Arts in Environmental Planning and Management from the University of Nairobi, a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Moi University, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Environmental Law-making and Diplomacy from UNEP/Joensuu University, Finland, among other academic credentials.

He is a strategic leader in conservation, climate resilience, and sustainability with over 23 years’ experience advancing impactful programs at the intersection of energy, environment, and climate change. His career spans the public, private, international development, and non-state actor sectors, bringing a unique multi-sectoral and transdisciplinary perspective to advancing sustainable development and climate resilience.

Before joining Equity Group Foundation, Julius held various leadership roles in environmental management, sustainable development, and climate policy, where he led the design and execution of strategic frameworks that promote climate resilience, inclusive sustainable finance, and organisational sustainability.

He has a strong track record in forging transformative partnerships, mobilising climate finance, embedding carbon management into organisational strategies, and scaling innovative climate-smart solutions toward resilient and low-emission growth pathways. Julius has also championed environmental awareness and stewardship, inspiring institutions, communities, and young people to adopt sustainable practices.
