Evelyn is a medium-sized farmer in Sinonin Village, Uasin-Gishu County. She owns 95 acres, which she has been using for agricultural production for the last 20 years. Her major value chains are livestock, wheat and maize.

She owns a tractor, which enables her to prepare her land each season. Evelyn experiences several agriculture challenges, including changing weather conditions, marketing of produce, pest and disease control, high cost of inputs and poor soil fertility.

Evelyn believes her farm is under-utilized, and she aspires to double agriculture production and income through the
accelerator programme. The accelerator worked with Evelyn to develop a farm business plan, which she has started implementing.

Through the programme, Evelyn also has been trained on land preparation and soil health management.
