Dr. Kaveh Alizadeh is the Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Westchester Medical Center, and Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery at New York Medical College. He has served as the president of the largest and oldest private academic center in the United States, President of Regional Society of Plastic Surgeons, and in 2017 as president of the New York State Society of Plastic Surgeons. His publication on pediatric trauma reconstruction won the award for the best published paper in North America in 2018. He has performed volunteer surgery for over 25 years and in 2010 founded Mission: Restore to provide sustainable long term care in the most remote corners of the globe. Dr. Alizadeh has appeared in news media such as CNN, CBS 60 Minutes, NBC Today Show, Discovery Health, Newsweek, Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times. In 2009, Dr. Alizadeh’s humanitarian volunteer work earned him the prestigious Ellis Island Medal of Honor, an award recorded in the United States Congressional Record.
